11|04|13 ~In celebration of the 150 years of Italian unity, the Center for Italian Studies of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia will host on April 15-16 an important international interdisciplinary conference, "From the Unity of Italians to the Unity of Italics: the Languages of Italicity around the World". The conference will bring together scholars, economists, politicians, journalists, artists to discuss the languages of "Italics": those in the world who "think Italian", even if they use other verbal and non verbal languages or belong to nationalities other than Italian. The two-day conference is free and open to the public.
